Diwali & Eid is one of the major events organised each year by SAaS. Nearly 600 guests covering southwest region attended the past event. Local MPs, Lord Mayor, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Plymouth were among invited guests. The 5-6 hrs programme was full of entertainment with modern and classical music, dance and drama. Every guest on the day is traditionally welcomed and served with the authentic Asian food. Local artist with professional group makes this evening colourful and memorable. On this occasion, SAaS also launches its latest issue of prestigious "Celebration" magazine to cover the stories, news, ideas and visions of the society. This year this event is being held on 21st November 2009 (6 pm onwards) at Guildhall, Plymouth. |
