Welcome to the South Asian Society at Plymouth. The South Asian Society was founded in the year 2003. The main aim of this society is to create a cultural, social and mutual support network for Devon and Cornwall's increasingly large South Asian community. SAaS has a wide membership base of people who are drawn from countries surrounding the Indian sub-continent or are part of the Asian Diaspora. SAaS recently celebrated its 6^th Annual Diwali-Eid Celebrations on 21^st Nov. at Guildhall. It was well attended by over 600 people. Deputy Lord Mayor, Chief Superintendent of Police, Local MPs and other dignitaries from Council enjoyed the 6 hours show. In this programme local talent competed well with Professional ‘Kismet Entertainment’ group. All guests enjoyed delicious Asian food and hospitality. The programme ended with open dance floor.
